GOPA Statistics on new adventures
In August, the STATS team will attend the 62nd ISI World Statistics Congress 2019 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
With our Technical Director Hristina Aleksandrova in lead of the GOPA delegation, we are looking forward to presenting interesting topics and engage in fruitful discussions.
We will participate, either as hosts or speakers, to the following sessions:
• 19 August 2pm-3.40pm: Special Topic Session STS-509 “Developing successful partnerships for capacity building in civil registration and vital statistics to meet the needs of the SDGs”
• 20 August 4pm-5.40pm: Contributed Paper Session CPS2259 “Functional areas: opportunities for ‘leave no one behind’ agenda and statistical challenges”
• 21 August 2pm-3.40pm: Special Topic Session STS-429 “Green economy and green jobs: tourism and sustainability and the issue of measurement”
•23 August 10.30am-12.30pm: Invited Paper Session IPS “COMUNIKOS (COMmunicating UNcertainty In Key Official Statistics): application to measuring well-being at local level for informed public policy”.
